Jessica is a junior majoring in Business Administration through the Global Management Program. She is originally from Orange County, California, and has lived there her whole life. Jessica will be joining Centerview Partners in their New York office this summer. In her free time, she enjoys cooking new recipes, traveling, photography, and attending concerts with friends.

Karan Ratra
Professional Director
Karan is a junior majoring in Economics. Next summer, he will be joining Morgan Stanley’s Investment Banking Division in San Francisco. His past experiences include financial advisory at Deloitte and investment banking at a TMT-focused bank in New York. Karan enjoys playing guitar and listening to music (Classic Rock, Jazz, House, Afropop), training Muay Thai, and reading about military history. He is originally from India and grew up in Dubai.

Maya Stern
Senior Vice President
Maya is a Data Science student from the Bay Area Peninsula. Next summer, she will be joining Goldman Sachs in their TMT investment banking group. Maya spent her past summer at PeakSpan Capital, a growth equity firm that invests in B2B software. In her free time, she enjoys going to concerts, trying Japanese restaurants, and spending time with friends and family.

Alp Cirnaz
Alp is a senior from Istanbul, Turkey, majoring in Economics. He will be joining McKinsey full time upon graduation. In the past, he has worked at Visa on their product management team and most recently interned in strategy/operations at SellScale, a venture backed startup. Alp has also previously engaged in economic research and various consulting projects. In his free time, he enjoys watching and playing soccer, traveling to new destinations, and graphic designing.

Ellie Glantz
Ellie Glantz a Business Administration major from Orange County. She will be joining Morgan Stanley in New York City working with their investment banking division in the Financial Sponsors Group as a full-time Analyst. After her time in banking, she will be attending Columbia Law School as part of the J.D LEAD Deferral Program.

Naren Varyani
Naren is a senior from Accra, Ghana. At Berkeley, he majors in Economics and minors in Politics, Philosophy, and Law. He spent his junior summer working at Lazard in New York, and will be returning there full-time. In his free time you can find him listening to investing podcasts, hiking with his friends, or playing soccer.

Ishita Shah
Ishita is a senior from Dallas, Texas majoring in Business Administration and Political Science and minoring in Spanish. She will be joining Morgan Stanley’s consumer/retail investment banking group in New York after graduation. She has also worked in private equity at both GI Partners ($40Bn fund) and J.F. Lehman ($7Bn fund). Her hobbies include writing poetry, playing the piano, and exploring fashion trends.

Alexander Schubert
Alex is a senior from Dubai, originally German and Lebanese. He worked at GI Partners, a $40 Bn private equity fund, and Lazard most recently in their New York office. He will be returning to Lazard full time in 2025. Some of his interests include soccer, house music, and wine-tasting.

Caitlyn Wang
Caitlyn is a senior from Scottsdale, Arizona, majoring in Molecular Cellular Biology. She interned at Elevance Health as a finance intern this past summer and has previously worked at 4D Molecular Therapeutics as a Technology Innovation intern. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, skincare, and thrifting around Berkeley.

JJ Sandhu
JJ is a junior from DC studying Computer Science, and will be joining Goldman Sachs this summer in their TMT Investment Banking group. He has most recently spent his time working at K1 Investment Management, a $20bn AUM Software Private Equity fund, and Makers Fund, a $1.2bn AUM global interactive entertainment VC. In the past, he has done computer vision research at BAIR, PWM at Morgan Stanley, and strategy at a software unicorn (Inxeption). In his free time, he enjoys going to Bhangra competitions, playing video games, and lifting.

Joy Katzburg

Aly is a senior from San Diego majoring in Business Administration and Political Economy. Her professional interests lie in the intersections of strategy, tech, and social impact. Nayha is a junior studying Economics and Public Health. She is originally from Minnesota, but spent a few years living in China and Singapore. Previous experiences include internal consulting at Kaiser Permanente, PWM at Morgan Stanley, URAP research, investment analytics and M&A research. She will be joining PwC in their healthcare consulting practice in New York City this summer. In her free time, Nayha enjoys painting and rock climbing, and is currently training for a half-marathon.

Partha Puli
Partha is a junior from Pleasanton, CA studying Metabolic Biology. He will be joining Morgan Stanley this upcoming summer as part of their healthcare investment banking group in San Francisco. Jennifer Feng
Jennifer is a Neuroscience and Data Science student from mainland China who’s been to 12 different schools so far, with Berkeley being her latest stop. She will be joining Bank of America as part of their healthcare investment banking group in San Francisco next summer. She recently interned at EY-Parthenon as a healthcare consultant and has also worked as an equity research intern. In her free time she is a pro mahjong player and enjoys water sports.

Jonathan Lee
Jonathan Lee is a junior from Korea who spent much of his life in Hong Kong. Currently pursuing a double major in Economics and Data Science at UC Berkeley, he has gained experience at 4D Molecular Therapeutics and S Ventures, a Korean venture capital firm. Ameer is a junior from Lahore, Pakistan majoring in Business Administration and Economics. Claire is a junior from Seattle double majoring in Economics and Architecture. Ashwin Kodibagkar
Ashwin is a junior from Dallas studying Computer Science. This summer, he will be joining Microsoft as a Technical Program Management intern. Previously, he worked at AWS as a Generative AI Solutions Architect intern and Wells Fargo as a software engineer. Growing up in Texas, Ashwin is a huge fan of the Dallas Mavs, as he grew up playing the sport. He’s a big A$AP Rocky and Carti fan, and loves traveling to new places.

Michael Pham
Michael Pham is a Junior Majoring in Econ/Data Science. He will be working in technology investment banking in the upcoming summer. He has previously worked in investment research at Permian Investment Partners and Smead Capital Management. In his free time, he enjoys powerlifting, trading, and writing substacks. Lucas Baehr
Lucas is a Data Science and Economics student from Howard County, Maryland. This summer, he will be joining Qualcomm’s FP&A team. His prior experiences include working at Rock Springs Capital, a hedge fund in Baltimore; Artkive, a startup in Los Angeles; and Morgan Stanley’s PWM Division in San Francisco. Rebecca Buss
Rebecca is a student from the Bay Area studying Physics and Economics. Next summer, she will be joining Evercore in their New York office. This past summer, she did an internship at a small bank and studied abroad in Portugal with the Sutardja Center of Entrepreneurship and Technology. Rebecca is on the Cal Triathlon Team and loves it (her favorite part is swimming). One of her other favorite activities is eating out with friends – especially Mexican and Mediterranean food.
